A university Computer Science or Software Engineering graduate, you have spent a good part of your career immersed in a Web development environment. You are passionate about your work and want to stretch your skills and abilities by learning new and leading-edge technologies.

Minimum Education

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of Web development experience
• Expert knowledge of Java and related technologies including: Servlets, JSP, Web Services, etc.
• Solid understanding of the Web development process, including design, development tools and technologies, and QA
• Experience developing database-driven Web applications
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other team members
• Technically savvy, results-oriented, and quality-focused
• Capable of working independently and as a strong team player on short-term projects
• Well-organized and detail-oriented individual
• An experienced communicator, both verbal and written
• Skilled at analyzing and discussing complex design challenges

Responsibilities

• Develop and present detailed technical specifications from high-level functional requirements
• Efficiently program Java (J2SE), Java Servlets, JSP, HTML, XML and JavaScript
• Perform unit testing and functional testing prior to submission of work
• Deliver assigned tasks on time and to scope
• Maintain and support all solutions
• Provide production support (day-to-day basis and overnight on-call as needed)
• Demonstrate technical leadership

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:

• JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, MySQL and Unix
• Collaboration, content management and social networking applications
