Image Field

This field is designed to allow an image to be stored as part of a record. The image field is not related to the image tool.  Images which are uploaded to a record will not be accessible through the image tool, only through the record itself.  Additional options such as minimum and maximum file size may also be configured.

When configuring image fields, it is important to consider both the common and field specific properties that are available for use. The field specific properties are defined below.

Note: All field types  have common field properties which are described separately.

Field Specific Properties

This set of properties is used specifically for configuring image fields.

Input Width

Enter a number that represents the desired width or space provided to enter content for this field on the form (i.e. enter 50 for 50 pixels).

Resize Width

Enter the maximum width of the image that can be uploaded without being automatically resized to the maximum. Leave it blank to not enforce such a limit. This value is in pixels.

Resize Height

Enter the maximum height of the image that can be uploaded without being automatically resized to the maximum. Leave it blank to not enforce such a limit. This value is in pixels.

Detail View

Select how the image should appear on the record detail page: full size or thumbnail (clicking the thumbnail would then show the full image).

Thumbnail Size

Enter the size of the thumbnail that will be automatically created as a preview of the full size image. The image will be resized such that it's height and width are both within the size limit.

Minimum Kilobytes (KB)

Enter a number that represents the minimum file size. Leave this option blank to not enforce such a limit.

Maximum Kilobytes (KB)

Enter a number that represents the maximum file size. Leave this option blank to not enforce such a limit.
