This field is designed to store a numerical value. Both decimal and whole numbers are supported. Which numerical format is accepted is determined by the configuration of it's field properties. Non-numerical values will not be accepted.
When configuring number fields, it is important to consider both the common and field specific properties that are available for use. The field specific properties are defined below.

This set of properties is used specifically for configuring number fields.
Default Value
Specify a default value if the new record form should begin with a suggested value in this field. Ensure the default value matches the field type and content validation settings.
Input Width
Enter a number that represents the desired width or space provided to enter content for this field on the form (i.e. enter 50 for 50 pixels).
Decimal Places
Numeric values will be displayed with the desired decimal places specified. Enter 0 if you wish to show only whole numbers.
Minimum
Enter a number that represents the minimum number of characters for the text field. Leave this option blank to not enforce such a limit.
Maximum
Enter a number that represents them maximum number of characters for the text field. Leave this option blank to not enforce such a limit.
