CommunityZero®Help
This tab is used to save the current search configuration as a selectable view of the database. Views can be selected from the summary table and search result pages. They can also be chosen to be the initial view, which members of the community will see upon first entering the database. The following sections outline the options in detail for saving a view.
These properties define the identity of the view.
View Name
Provides a descriptive name/title for the view. This name appears in the drop-down menu located on the summary table and search result pages.
Save over existing view
This option only appears while editing a view. If selected, the view being edited will be permanently updated with the modified search configuration.
Save as new view
This option only appears while editing a view. If selected, the view being edited will not be modified and a new view will be created.
This section provides an overview of the search criteria that has been selected. A list of each selected field is presented along with any associated criteria to search by.
Allow users to modify
Select this option to allow users to modify search criteria for the respective field. Upon running a view, users will be presented with a form allowing them to modify the pre-selected search criteria. If the field is blank, users will still be permitted to enter their own search criteria.
Use preset value
Select this option to search the chosen criteria while running a view without allowing users to modify the pre-selected values.
Displays which fields have been chosen to sort the results by. The top most field is sorted by first, following through sequentially to the third field if selected.
