Modifying Permissions After Posting

If you are permitted to modify permissions in a content area, you will be shown a check box labeled "Modify permissions after posting" during the content creation stage.

Select this checkbox while adding new content to immediately hide the content from all members after the object is created.  As the content creator, you are then taken immediately to a screen that permits editing of the object's permissions.  All groups other than "Owner" and "Founder" will have lost their right to VIEW the content object.  All other permissions reflect the defaults stored in the current content folder.

The next step is to re-enable the VIEW right for the membership groups that should be permitted to view the content object.  You may wish to also extend ADD, EDIT and DELETE rights accordingly.  See Setting Permissions for more information.
