Note Board: Introduction

The note board is the ideal location for short, informal and unstructured postings between members.  Some community founders choose to use the note board as strictly an announcements area.  To do so, they remove the members' right to post notes and rename the tool to be called "announcements" (tool names are set in the tool configuration area by the community founder).
