The My Tasks list displays tasks that have been assigned to an individual member. Upon logging into a site, each member will be presented with a list of their upcoming tasks. If no tasks have been assigned to the current member, the My Tasks section will not appear on the Site Main Page. The site level listing includes all tasks assigned to a particular member from each community the user has membership in. Upon entering a particular community, the tasks assigned to that member will be displayed on the What’s New page, as well as the main page of the Tasks tool itself.
In each area where the My Tasks page is displayed, members have the option of updating the status of their tasks, and any other tasks they have been granted the "Update Progress" permission. Status can be changed instantly by either selecting an option from the drop-down menu, or by modifying the percent complete status.
When viewing the My Tasks list located on the Main Page, What's New Page, or the Tasks tool-level page, the default display is "Open" tasks ordered by "Due Date (earliest)". Open tasks are those which have not yet been completed or canceled. While viewing My Tasks on a project's detail view, the default filter is "Open" tasks by "Due Date (earliest)".
Members who choose to receive Activity Updates will see up to five tasks in the My Tasks section of the e-mail. Tasks that have been cancelled or completed will not be displayed. These tasks are also sorted by "Due Date (earliest)".

The following sections include details on each section where the My Tasks page is displayed.
Upon viewing a site's main page, each member will be presented with a list of their assigned tasks. This view may be sorted in a variety of ways and updated “on-the-fly.”

To view tasks other than those with "Open" status, select the
"View All" link from the My Tasks area.
Upon viewing the Tasks tool main page, the My Tasks and Recent Tasks tabs are displayed. The status and percent complete of a task can quickly and easily be changed "on-the-fly". To change the status, click on the status link and select an appropriate entry from the drop-down menu. To change the percent complete, click on the number, then enter a new value in the field provided. For further information, see changing task status.

The Recent Tasks tab will sort by "Updated (latest)" by default. Both the "Date Updated" and "Start" date columns are hidden if not sorting by these values. If either of these values are selected from the sort drop-down menu, the respective column will appear. The column will then disappear once the sort option is changed.
Note:
The All Tasks tab is visible only on individual project detail
pages. It is not shown on the Main Page, or What's New Page.
The My Tasks page located within the Tasks tool provides the option of viewing tasks, which have been assigned to other members. To view tasks assigned to another individual, perform the following:
Select the button labeled "Browse" to open a member selection pop-up box.

Select a member to filter by from the pop-up box.
Press the button labeled "Apply" to view the tasks assigned to the selected member.
The status of a task can quickly and easily be modified directly from the My Tasks page. Each option is outlined below:
Click the status link for that item and select the new status from the drop-down menu.

Click the percent complete value below the status to open the % Complete number field. Type in the number you wish to use for the percent of the task that has been completed. The field will update when you hit Enter or click elsewhere on the page.

Click the completed check box in the right-most column. The progress will instantly change to 100% and the status will change to completed.

The status of a task can also be modified while viewing a task's detail page. To change the status of a task, click on the text to the right of "Status" or click on the percent complete value to enter a new number in the field. If "Mark Completed" is checked, the percent complete will automatically update to 100% and the status field will change to "Completed".
