Tasks: Introduction

This tool is not yet available on all sites as the functionality is currently
under limited release.
The Tasks tool is ideal for tracking tasks across multiple projects within a community. Each member can conveniently access their own assigned tasks from the Site Main Page, What's New Page, or by entering the Task Manager tool itself. See "My Tasks" for further information on accessing and managing your list of assigned tasks.
The Tasks tool is comprised of two items: projects and tasks. Projects are used to contain and manage a list of tasks, and optionally other projects (sub-projects). Once a project has been created, tasks are added to that project, which can be assigned to individual community members to complete. Tasks, their status, and assigned user make up the project. Additionally, users may subscribe to projects to be kept up to date on their progress. They also may use reminders to trigger e-mail notifications, reminding them of approaching task due dates. See subscriptions, and reminders for further information.
