In addition to the subscription feature for project notifications, community members have the ability to set reminders for a specific task. These reminders are sent via e-mail at a user-defined time prior to the start date, or due date of the task.
Founders, administrators and the person assigned to the task can also set reminders for other members. This is especially useful for time-driven task entries such as meetings or deadlines.
If a reminder has been set for an assigned member, but the person assigned to the task changes, the reminder will automatically be sent to the newly assigned member, not the previously assigned member. This is especially useful if a project leader reassigns many tasks in a project.
To set a personal reminder on a task, select the task by clicking on
its name. Click on the “Set reminder” link or the bell icon
.
The e-mail reminder can be sent at a predefined amount of time prior to the start date, or due date of the task.
Task reminders can be set to 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 days prior to the selected date. Reminders also may be sent on a custom set date and at a specific time.
Note:
Tasks start and end at 12:00 PM GMT on the dates they are scheduled, therefore
you should consider the end time of 12:00 PM when you set your reminders.

task's posted date has been updated, an e-mail notification will be sent
to members who have a reminder set for that task.
Founders, administrators and members with the "Manage Subscription" rights can set reminders for other members of the community. To set a group reminder on a task, click on the name of the task to view its full details. Click on the “Reminders” button.
For the reminder, select either a predefined number of days prior to the due date, or start date of the task or select a specific date and time. The predefined limits are 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 days prior to the selected date.
Reminders can be set for groups or individual members. To set a reminder for a group, check the box next to the appropriate group name and click the “Apply Changes” button.
To set a reminder for an individual, click on the “No reminder set” link and select the names of the individuals who should receive a reminder.
Reminders may also be set for the member the task is assigned to by selecting the “Assigned Member” group. If a reminder is set for the “Assigned Member” group and the currently assigned member changes, the reminder will be carried over to the newly assigned individual and removed from the previous member.

Note: If
a group reminder is set on the same task entry, the individual's own reminder
settings take precedence. Similarly, an individual can choose to opt-out
of a task reminder. These individuals will not receive any reminders set
at the group level.
Founders, administrators and members with the "Manage Subscription" rights can set reminders for all tasks. This can be done by selecting the "Subscriptions" button in the gray toolbar while on the most recent view of the Tasks tool.
Click the Tasks tab to view the reminders form.

In the tasks tab, reminders can be set 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 days prior to the start date or due date of a task. To set a reminder for a group, check the box next to the appropriate group name and click the “Apply Changes” button.
To modify or delete a task reminder, click on the active bell icon
or the reminder detail link (e.g., “1 day prior to end”).
To modify the reminder, select the new desired reminder settings and click
the “Set” button to save your changes.
To delete the reminder, select the “No reminder” option and click the “Set” button to save your changes.
