Chat allows any number of members within a community or across communities to have an online group meeting in real-time. There are two types of chat rooms: temporary and permanent. Temporary chat rooms are created in the Community Messenger window for the purpose of a quick online meeting and will automatically close when the last participant leaves the room. Temporary chat rooms support multi community participation. A permanent chat room is created inside a community and is specific to that community; only members of that community can be participants. Permanent chat rooms are persistent and only close when deleted from the community.
