This customizable "Start" page provides a directory of your communities as well as an area for users to log in, sign up, and manage their account and community memberships. This area can mirror the look of an existing Web site and can be hosted at any domain. Because communities are independently configured, members of one community need not know other communities exist.
Includes English and French interfaces. A language change can be made from any page within the application giving users the option to navigate your communities in their language of choice.
Designed to ensure users who require assistive devices to navigate the Web can access your site using screen readers or other assistive technologies. Complies with both the US Section 508 guidelines and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for disabled persons.

Encourage Participation
Members can bookmark favorite content and contributors through their Favorites folder.
Members can opt-in to community and folder (e.g. topic) updates through RSS feeds.
Enables members to receive updates on community activities and changes without logging in. Users can select to receive daily, weekly or monthly updates from their communities.
Individual or group subscriptions notify members about updates to specific content areas and about important activities.
Community discussions can take place through the community or by e-mail. All e-mailed messages are automatically archived in the community and re-distributed to subscribed members. Enables convenient communication between members without the need to log in to a community.
