Additional Security Features
The CommunityZero software infrastructure is built to protect your communities and keep your data and member information confidential. For those customers seeking to protect highly sensitive, mission critical information, the following add-on security features are available as service upgrade options.
Provide superior protection of sensitive information and documents uploaded and retrieved from your CommunityZero site. Secure sockets layer (SSL) certificates and encryption allow end users to confirm a server's identity. All information sent between the user and the server is scrambled using full, 128-bit encryption. This same protocol is used to facilitate online banking.
Restrict access to your communities and enhance security by blocking or allowing fixed IP addresses (or IP address ranges). Although CommunityZero requires a valid user name and password for access, the addition of IP-based security ensures unwanted users cannot even load the login page.
Customization and Web Services
CommunityZero supports integration with corporate directories and identity management systems via industry-standard Web services. Web services allow your members to log onto your network with seamless access to your CommunityZero site (single sign-on).
In addition, CommunityZero's Web services provide an API (Application Program Interface) enabling you to access any content uploaded to your site remotely. Your data is never locked in to our system and can be extracted whenever you require.
The following features are available for those clients seeking additional customization options for their CommunityZero environments.
CommunityZero includes options for automatic password expiry and thresholds for failed log in attempts. You may further extend CommunityZero to support existing corporate password policies such as minimum password length, inclusion of symbols, case-sensitivity, etc.
Integrate your CommunityZero site with an existing user-authentication system for seamless accessibility and convenience.

Customize the Web address of your CommunityZero site by assigning a sub-domain of your existing Web site or by creating an entirely new domain name.
This feature automatically scans the content within uploaded files to extend search capabilities for your members. Dozens of common file formats (e.g. Word, Excel, PDF, Access and ZIP) can be searched as easily as an article or a calendar entry.
When activated, users can view dozens of file types (e.g. Word, Excel, PDF and Access) directly within their Web browser without having to download these files to their desktops.
